April 2026 Caring for the Paesetto We are pleased to announce the completion of the second phase of planting the last 50 trees needed to replace the 140 that were cut down due to disease. This project was made possible thanks to the donation of 90 trees from our Association and the final 50 from the Lazio Region, which accepted our application submitted as part of the "Oxygen Project," which promotes the repopulation of greenery to protect the ecosystem. At the same time, we requested 100 Mediterranean shrubs for an initiative to promote beekeeping already present on site. The application submitted in October 2025 was approved and fulfilled in all its parts. We felt it was right to report these data because they demonstrate the interest and responsiveness of both the Environmental Directorate of the Municipality of Rome and that of the Lazio Region. We hope that we can soon meet and enjoy together the beauty, tranquility, and peace of the Paesetto. Praise be to you, O my Lord.

October 4, 2025 "Let's celebrate to contemplate Creation together" On Saturday, October 4th, we couldn't have celebrated the day dedicated to those who have joined and live the SNOl Association in a more fitting way than this: by all going to Paesetto, surrounded by the beauty of Creation, in memory of St. Francis and meditating on the ten years that have passed since Pope Francis's encyclical letter, Laudato Si', which lives on in our hearts. It all began with a warm welcome from Sister Marina, who made the Emmaus Community hall and cafeteria available to us and accompanied us throughout the day, helping us organize all the planned activities. Nicoletta gave us a sweet welcome with a delicious taste of thick, golden honey, produced by the Paesetto bees and extracted in August. The meeting began in the Emmaus hall around 11:00 a.m. The Encyclical was our hymn of thanksgiving to the Lord for the marvelous creation we could enjoy in Paesetto, so dear to us all, and also for the joy we, members, new members, supporters, and volunteers of the Association, felt in meeting together in unity of purpose and animated by a spirit of true friendship. We missed the members who were unable to attend, and we sincerely hope they will be able to participate next time. Given the positive feedback we received from everyone, more days like this will certainly be scheduled. For absent members, please note that there were communications from the Association's president and other board members, from Vice President Sabina and Treasurer Nicoletta (who, in addition to their communications, shared personal reflections on Sister Maria Teresa's meditations on the Laudato Si' Encyclical), from Secretary Maria Stella (who, with her speech, provided a preview of interesting information on the life of bees), from the councilors: Olga (who gave us a preview of the 2025/2026 guided tour program, which will be discussed later), and from Sister Maria Teresa (who kept us engaged with her meditations on the Encyclical). Those present were further informed about recent work to maintain the hives and care for the beehives in Paesetto, the outcome of the request for trees and shrubs submitted to the Regional Department responsible for environmental matters (Progetto Ossigeno), which we hope will be delivered and planted soon, and the initiatives planned for 2025-2026, including: the joint formation between lay people and nuns that is planned; the guided tours of Rome's churches led by Olga, who, starting in November, will continue the Marian journey, continuing last year's program; and the days that will be organized for the elderly, for families, and for our beloved guiding star, Sister Maria. In her memory, we will plant a tree in Paesetto in February, and the area where the Paowlonia is located will be dedicated to her. The board of directors expressed their warm gratitude to the new Mother General of the Institute of the Daughters of the Church, Sister Maria Santos Garcia, to the vicar, Sister Maria Giampiccolo, and to the councilors, Sister Flomy (also bursar), Sister Consuelo, and Sister Sandra, for their joyful presence. We thank the Mother General for her appreciation of the Association and for providing us with precious words to reflect on. A highlight of the morning meeting was when Sister Maria Teresa, ten years after Laudato Si', shared profound reflections that sparked interesting discussion among those present, including Alessandro's proposal to organize meetings aimed at deepening our understanding of the Encyclical's themes. This was followed by a community lunch. Lunch was a unique opportunity for socializing, a pleasant moment to savor the delicacies prepared by the staff of the board and beyond, and also a beautiful moment of industrious and joyful collaboration among those who set the table, served, and cleaned up. The presence of the previous board members was greatly appreciated, with the new one representing continuity. This is an opportunity t

February 19, 2022 Finally, let's meet again! The lesson was given by Lorenzo Lastilla, a young animator of Laudato sii, working at the parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary (who left us his presentation). Piera Savino and Antonio Fiore who carry out their activities in the Circolo Laudato sii in Trastevere have brought their testimony on the field.

Our president Mario Prignano received a certificate of recognition "for his commitment to making Laudato Sì live in his community". This is after following a course for Laudato Sì animators promoted by the world Catholic climate movement. As an Association we are really happy because our commitment was born precisely from the encyclical of Pope Francis and from the desire to make the village of the Madonna a place where Laudato was lived and where the beauty and strength of integral ecology is witnessed in a climate of ecumenism and dialogue.
