The promise

Deteuronomy 8, 7-10 "Keep the commandments of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him; for the Lord your God is about to bring you into a fertile land: a land of torrents, springs and subterranean waters that spring up in the plain and on the mountain; a land of wheat, barley, vines, figs and pomegranates; a land of olive trees, oil and honey; a land where you will not eat bread in shortage, where you will lack for nothing; a land where stones are iron and from whose mountains you will dig brass. You will therefore eat your fill, and you will bless the Lord your God on account of the fertile land which he will give you."
